Neighborhood Cafe was always intended for community. From partnering with local coffee roasters to featuring small retail businesses, we love people and we love Seattle!
So, we’re excited to finally announce our collaboration with @jeepneyclothing !! Founded in Seattle in 2003, the iconic brand emblazoned their Filipino American roots onto their streetwear line.
The founding duo gathered their inspiration from the Jeepney, a type of public transportation vehicle popular in the Philippines. It evolved from repurposed American military jeeps that were left behind of after World War II. Filipinos adapted these vehicles to fit their personalities, adding creative touches to the exterior of the vehicles.
The brand is still active today, and we’re proud to celebrate Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) month with a nod to Jeepney Clothing and to Seattle’s still-vibrant Filipino community. Grab a piece of PNW Fil-Am history when you purchase this collaborative tote.
These limited-edition totes will be available starting May 1st at Neighborhood Café in Tukwila and Neighborhood Bubble Tea and Coffee located inside Seattle-Tacoma Airport, across the hall from D5. Look out for more collaborations this year, as we continue to spread the love with collaborations!
